Sony has recently declared that it is currently exhibiting a new Nougat update for Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact handsets. Last year both the smartphones were updated to Android Nougat 7.0 and currently with the latest update , both the handsets will be changed to Android Nougat 7.1.1 firmware.

In addition, the firmware update offers the bundle version 34.3.A.0.194. Additionally, Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact handsets will get Android Nougat 7.1.1 as an over-the-air (OTA) update, as a result, users might have to wait for it as far as it is reachable on their handset.

As far as the update is concern, the latest Nougat 7.1.1 firmware will add more emojis, app shortcuts, back for circular app symbols, keyboard picture insertion, confidential bug fixes and efficiency growth along with some new features. The update will also involve Android safety ground for the month of June.

In any condition, Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact users should get an alert about the update. If not then they can also review manually for the update by jumping into the phone settings and viewing for software updates. So customers can go to Settings>About Phone>Software Update.

As a firmware update mostly comes at a size of around 1 GB users should link their handsets to a Wi-Fi network rather than using their phone network to download the update. Sony also advises,  in order to complete the update successfully, customers should have at least 50% of battery backup.
