Apple TV 4K to get Dolby Atmos audio in future tvOS update


Apple launched Apple TV 4K in the beginning of this month along with the iPhone smartphones, did not told and confirmed anything if the streaming device will come with Dolby Atmos surround sound tech out of the box or not.  In the report by Verge confirmed, apple will upgrade the streaming box audio in future and it’s a part of the tvOS update.

“Apple also doesn’t support modern surround sound standards like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which place sound effects in 3D space around you,” said The Verge’s Nilay Patel in his Apple TV 4K review. “Apple told me that the lack of Atmos isn’t a hardware limitation, and that support is on the roadmap,” they confirmed and added in articles.

Apple not cleared anything yet when company plans to bring this support to its 4K TV streaming box. The price for the TV 4K starts at $179 for 32GB variants and for US market price is $199 for the 64GB variant.

Company has Apple TV in market and it is a company’s video-streaming box. Now company upgrades their video-streaming box to 4K and users can watch Movies, videos in 4K resolution.

Apple video-streaming box come with 4K HDR 10 support get along Dolby vision. A tech company based Cupertino has also tweaked the Apple TV user interface. Company upgrade streaming box and it comes with CPU with performance twice as fast and graphics four times faster.

It is powered by Apple A10x processor, and price for the Apple TV 3K is Rs 15,900 for 32GB and Rs 17,900 for the 64GB variant. For another variants   Apple TV (4th generation) 32GB cost is 12,900 RS. Device is available for US market on pre-order and it is starting from September 15. Sale will start from 22 September for select market.

Apple confirmed that company is working with 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate and other production houses to bring new content to iTunes. All the users can purchase movies from select production houses on iTunes and new users will get free of cost in 4K HDR compatible. Apple competitors Amazon prime will also launch 4K HDR content for the new streaming box at the end of the year.
