BlackBerry has launched BlackBerry KEYone Limited edition in India. The flagship handset of Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry will be available only on Amazon from August 8. The Indian version of the limited edition handset is the first BlackBerry device to have dual SIM cards. The smartphone priced at Rs 39,990 weighs 180 grams and is already available in Europe and America.
The 7.1 Nougat based Android smartphone was launched in February this year at the Mobile World Congress. Manufactured by Optimus KEYone sports a 4.5-inch scratch resistant crisp and clear full HD IPS display (1080×1620 pixels) and has a pixel density of 433ppi.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and while the US version has 3GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage which cannot be expanded the Indian version has 4GB RAM and a much larger inbuilt storage at 64 GB which can be further expanded to 2 TB with the help of a micro SD card. It also comes with Adreno 506 GPU.
Vodafone has said that its subscribers both prepaid and postpaid will get 75GB of internet data for 3 months if they opt to buy this smartphone. This smartphone is powered by a 3505mAh non-removable battery, which is reportedly the largest battery ever in a BlackBerry and to charge this large battery it boasts of fast charging technology ‘Boost’.
The KEYone not only has a touch screen but also has a full physical BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard. The specialty of this keyboard is each key can be customized to launch an application. Its fingerprint scanner is embedded in the space bar that doubles up as the home button.
The KEYone comes with 12 MP rear and 8 MP front cameras with dual tone LED flash and have a capacity to record videos in 4K resolution. It has a USB 3.1 port and supports Wi-Fi, 4G, NFC, GPS, and Bluetooth.
