BlackBerry Motion smartphone

Last year Blackberry launched 2 touchscreen smartphones DTEK 50 and DTEK 60. Now it comes, once again with the full-screen handset, called as the Motion. However, the company launched the new smartphone in the Middle East at a price equivalent to RS 30,000. The company has not yet confirmed anything when it will available in the market.

The Chinese company received the rights to manufacture BlackBery smartphone last year, and the smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and with the full touchscreen. The display size of the smartphone has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) LCD with 16:9 aspect ratio.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and it’s a mid-range smartphone and the RAM is 4GB. The Smartphone has inbuilt storage 32 GB and battery backup is 4000 mAh. The rear camera of the smartphone is 12MP with f/2.0 and the front camera is 8MP for selfie lovers.

The smartphone is coming with the metal clad BlackBerry Motion is IP67 rated, which makes it dust and water resistant.

“The launch of BlackBerry Motion allows us to further diversify our product offering, delivering new experiences while remaining steadfast with the privacy, reliability, and productivity that have made BlackBerry so iconic over the years,” said Alain Lejeune, global general manager for Blackberry mobile. “While the initial launch of our newest BlackBerry smartphone will be limited, this is an exciting addition to our growing BlackBerry smartphone portfolio, setting a strong foundation for further portfolio and market growth in the years to come.”

The company has confirmed that it won’t be bringing Android Nougat OS to its BlackBerry Priv. “We do not have any plans today to bring [the BlackBerry Priv] to Nougat,” said Alex Thurber, general manager of BlackBerry Mobility Solutions in a podcast conversation with UTB Blogs website last month. The motion may get Android 8.0 Oreo. There is no confirmation for now.
