LG Electronics will reveal its upcoming flagship smartphone, possibly to be named V30, on August 31 at IFA tradeshow in Berlin, Germany.

The company issued invitations for the unpacking event with a “Save the Date” tagline for 9am, Thursday, August 31. The IFA tradeshow kicks off a day after on September 1.

This will be the first time for LG to disclose its leadership smartphone at the IFA tradeshow.

The invitation also demonstrate the silhouette of the phone’s display, in black and white and in the pattern of a V, showing it will be the latest smartphone in its V series of phablets.

The ratio of the display also indicates that the smartphone will have a 18:9 ratio screen much similar to the G6 disclosed previously this year.

LG earlier told ZDNet that more and more smartphones will have the 18:9 ratio display. Previously this week it introduced Q series, a latest line-up of “affordable” premium smartphones with the similar display size as the G6.

Samsung is statedly thinking out to introduce its Galaxy Note 8 a week previously, on August 23.
