Get ready for the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung is ready to unveil the large- sized phone on August 23. Massive interest has already been generated in this Note 7 successor which will probably have a 6.3-inch Infinity display. According to a Samsung executive, this massive phone could sport Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

Rumors going around about the size of this smartphone from Samsung have been confirmed by the new information by Forbes. Indeed it is a massive smartphone, much bigger than Galaxy S8 and even S8 Plus.According to information gleaned by Forbes, Note 8 will be the first Samsung phone with a dual premium rear camera. This new feature is not available even on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

The new information reconfirms that the Note 8 will not only have a Galaxy 8 like display but at 6.3 inches its display will be bigger than that of S8 – 5.8-inch display and S8 plus that has a 6.2 -inch display.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kou, the Note 8 cameras will have a 3X optical zoom feature. The new information and photos provided by Forbes also reveal that the placement of the USB Type C-charging port, as well as the fingerprint sensor, may have been changed in the Note 8. The fingerprint sensor would be at the back side of Note 8 but it does retain the headphone jack even though it will come with minimal bezels.

Samsung announced some days ago that the Note 8 will be launched on August 23 and per-registration of the phone has already started in Australia. If we assume that Samsung will follow its normal practice, of introducing a new phone in India about 10 days after its launch, for the Note 8 too, we can safely assume that Note 8 will hit the Indian shores in early September. This incidentally is exactly what Samsung did while launching Galaxy S8 and S8+.

But according to a top executive of the South Korean firm, Samsung will probably launch Note 8 in two phases – first in early September in South Korea, America, and the United Kingdom and thereafter in other markets in October. This means that Note 8 is likely to hit the Indian market sometime in October but this has not been officially confirmed, yet.
