South Korea’s giant Samsung Electronics is making plan to launch an English version of its artificial intelligence (AL)- based assistance programme Bixby in June month. In a recent report which indicates that Bixby English version, which is an advanced voice recognition system, that comes on the mobiles Galaxy s8 and its variant Galaxy S8 Plus, can be launched in the US in this month and also be launched in other English- speaking countries, Yonhap news agency reported.
Bixby is similar to Siri and Cortana and Bixby boasts of “deep-learning” AI technology, allowing it to better communicate with users as it accumulates data like other AI software. In reports, Samsung has already began to recruit volunteers for a per-test of Bixby this week, according to the industry source. Samsung wanted to launch English version in end of May but it was put off due to problems with language testing.
Bixby is the latest invention of Samsung and its similar to Apple’s Siri. Recently Samsung sales gone down due to unsuccessful Galaxy Note 7 that had battery problems but Bixby will help Samsung to reclaim its edge as it is the world’s top smartphone maker.
